For this steep uphill drive, a pair of Driveway Gates swinging out as a single gate, with embedded steel frames.  For out-swing gates, an option is to mount the motors on the street side, or lose approximately 13" clearance by mounting them on the inside, with the motor arms 'pushing' the gate open.  Most local codes require the gate be set at least 12' in front the street for out-swing gates.

--A third option is the SEA 400 sub-grade invisible motor, which rests beneath the gate with a pin hinge system.
