Garden Fence #10-1
A series of stepped Garden Fencing panels in San Anselmo, CA (Marin County), culminating with the Gate Arbor #15
Fence Gate #10-2
The street-facing view of an Olympic Village home in Lake Tahoe, where the CPW Garden Fence encompasses some 500 running feet of a unique riverfront vacation home. The objective is to design a work that blends into the landscape. And once again, fence style #10 is accompanied by Garden gate style #52.
No different than coordinating a fashionable ensemble, the artful wood fence must comply with the surroundings--simple open pickets and subtle joinery do justice to pine trees, mountain views, and the Truckee River.
In essence, the only separation on either side of the fence is the existence of a lawn, and if there is an actual function to a perimeter fence in such surroundings, we might consider the very real issue of 600-pound black bears drawn close by the scent of breakfast.

Fence Gate #10-3
Another look at Garden Fencing Style #10, with the
panels stepping to a gradual sloping grade. Setting to a sloping grade:
1) set the first and last post.
2) measure up the desired height and mark each post.
3) string a line from one to another
4) Set each panel so the high side aligns with the stringline.
This automatically insures each panel steps an equal distance to the overall slope.
CPWs
Fence Style #10 shown with the tighter spacing at 3/4", limiting
visibility at 6-ft distance, to within 5-degrees on center. So
if you stand off 5 degrees to the left or right of any spaced picket,
the visibility is obscured by the thickness of the next picket.
