It might seem that with such a small usable yard offering as with
many typical San Franciscan homes, that a solid privacy fence
would reward the homeowners with the most of what space they
are afforded.
But in actuality, a solid fence would serve to close the area
in with an effect opposite of what mirrors can do to open small interiors. And
of course as it happens, these two neighbors are great friends,
long before the fence was created.
