A Second-Floor Room in a San Francsico Victorian

The original room, with its darkened, 6-ft-high wainscoting untouched since the late 19th century, was gutted to create an appealing retreat from the rest of the house. A combination study— library—reading room. The rest of the residence is in keeping with the Victorian style. Pieces created for the downstairs can be seen at Cabinet #7.
