In the Spring of 2000  Charles was commissioned to design and create the entry and side doors for St.Patrick's church. The architecture of this well-maintained structure in downtown Larkspur, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, is predominantly California Mission with an embellished gothic portico. In an attempt to pull out the Mission simplicity, with a few notable amendments, Charles hoped to ground the surrouunding portico with the somewhat muscular design of the entry. ( 2-1/4" Thickness. Riff-Sawn Oak with Wenge Inlays. Square and Rectangular Integrity Pins.

The side Entry Doors

As a measure against vandalism, the stained glass had been shielded to obscurity with a sheet of milky plexiglas. Charles had it removed to reveal this extraordinary glasswork, donated years before, as it happened, by his long-time patrons, the Costello family.
