A
Wood Picture Frame that manages to upstage its painting. When
showing this to the artist, Vallerie Powell of Sonoma County, she
frowned, as her work was all but lost to the periphery.
We borrow from Prowell's
signature ballerina profile for the vertical stiles, first employed
on a series of coffee tables a year earlier.
Surrounding
the painting (3" x 7") is a series of small tulip petals. The
painting and the petals can be modified to our patron's specifications.
Setting
the epoxy inlays
The
tulip petals were photographed and dropped out and printed and cut
to fit their respective frames.
Sometimes
you come across an object with an ieffable appeal, but for which
you have no use.
