FAQ

The Garden Arbor exists in a number of forms. The Arbor Gate is utilized to announce the entry gate, as either an arched or gabled two-post overhead or a four-post foyer. The Wood Pergola and Lanai are free-standing assemblies creating divisions within a landscape design (exterior room, as such).

Many of the gates are accompanied with a Garden Arbor that incorporates Ceiling Panels. Images #3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 29, 12, & 14 illustrate a few. Patterns within each commissioned panel are often modified to compliment your existing architecture.

Free-Standing Wood Pergolas and Wood Lanai, such as #27 & 29, are created in whole at the shop. Each componant is labeled to correspond to a drawing before disassembly and delivery for 3d-party installers

The Arching Wood Arbor, such as #1, 2, & 13 are delivered as assemblies from the post up. They are dimensioned to
set onto either 4x4 or 6x6 posts.

The Arbor Trellis, or what we call the Valance Arbor, such as # 7, 10, & 17, are delivered like the fence panels, to be installed between arbor posts by 3d-party installers.

The Garden Arbors are shipped or delivered in unfinished clear western cedar .

Regarding Arbor Installation

--CPW does not offer installations.  Homeowners are responsible for securing the installation of their CPW products.  So be careful, and don't end up like the poor sap on the right.
--We can, on occasion, help to secure a referral in your area and we will be glad to do this whenever possible.  But these are only referrals and CPW is not responsible for their work.
--It is always best to refer your installer or contractor to the web site to familiarize themselves with the level of quality of CPW products, as well as to thePDF Installation Guides, located through the below link or under the Site Map on every page.
--Technical support is available to all homeowners and third-party installers by phone 707-823-3711 or email <support@prowellwoodworks.com>

Regarding Shipping

1) A typical wood arbor within the Continental United States ships FedEx Freight. 2) If you order an item, we will provide a quote, where necessary, for standard shipping. FedEx may have an additional charges for redelivery and making appointments. We will not be responsible for any of these charges. 3) When items are shipped motor freight, the items become the property of the purchaser when they leave our dock. Motor freight companies may have strict policies regarding damaged freight. If you sign for a damaged package without noting the damage at the time of the delivery, they will often not allow the claim. Please make sure you inspect your boxes before accepting them. If you detect some damage to the crate, please make a note of this on the Bill of lading the driver will ask you to sign.  You do not need to refuse delivery or ask the driver to wait.  Your signed note will be sufficient in the event of a claim.  4) Please make sure you understand the shipping options and how your order will ship before placing an order.

Relax. We use durable, ribbed crates. As of winter 2005, only one shipment has arrived with damage. This, in June 2003, involved a small break on a single rail of a single panel and CPW replaced it without question. The fault was ours.
