This Kapoei, Hawaiin residence preferred the more narrow spacing between pickets  for a little added privacy to their Entry Gate.  For mounting post-jambs to irregular  stonework, it is often best to embed threaded rod into the columns.

-The upper pickets of each Wood Gate and Fence Panel feature  mortise and tenon joinery.  The G-76 offers pickets with alternating widths  as well as the added privacy of a mid-rail set higher than the standard G-7.
