Our purpose here is not to provide a gate that upstages the surrounding landscape and residence, but, moreover, a work of subtle beauty that is inherent to the setting.

The flush-joined open grids and tenoned pickets express the geometry of the garden that is corroborated by two CPW lighted columns, while the top scalloped arch of the gate provides an invitation to the expanse of the Pacific.
 

Here, in one of a series of gardens poised along the bluffs of Pt. Mendocino, we look to the gate as a portal between the structured layout of the landscape and the open infinity of the sea.

Why is it, after all threse years, that a simple comment from an admiring patron can still have its affect.
Upon completion of this project, the general contractor forwarded over a note sent to him by the homeowner:
"Incredible . . . wouldn't it be wonderful if the professional world was populated with c. prowells . . ."
