Ordering Process

   
 
 


*For single Custom Wood Gates, our scheduling is normally 2-3 weeks out

Step 1:

  

Select your Garden Gate style from one of the four galleries.

Step 2:

  


Check your cost by noting the percentage to Base Cost and following the link near the top of every gate page to the  Base Cost Table and  calculating that percentage to the base cost.  You may also benefit from reading the general information appearing below the Base Cost Table.

Step 3:

  


Check your dimensions.  The width between posts and the height from the grade to the top of the gate, or in style with arched top rails, to the point where the arch begins. 
(* For mounting to masonry columns, the dimension between columns is needed, requiring a pair of jambs at $275)

Step 4:

  


Consider your hardware choices.  Most gates opt for the 4" bronze ball-bearing hinge.  A standard gate size has three hinges at a cost of $105. Latches etc can be considered from two options.  Your hardware will be shipped directly to the shipping or site address you will eventually provide.

Step 5:

  


You are welcome to contact CPW at this juncture by email or phone to corroborate your costs and resolve any outstanding questions and concerns, such as shipping or delivery cost.   You may also at this juncture want to consider quotes for your installation (You can refer your installer to the step-by-step installation PDF, linked here and under the Site Map).

Step 6:

  


The Payment Center is linked at the top of every page on the web site. Here you enter your billing and shipping information and your costs that have been calculated by you or provided by CPW.  If for some reason there is a slight discrepancy in this figure, CPW will contact you prior to processing an advance of 50% of the total cost.
* If you prefer to pay by check, chashier's check, or money order, your payment can be sent to the address appearing at the bottom of this page.

Step 7:

  


Usually within 2-3 business days, you will receive an email with a link and log-in to a site set up where you will be asked to review and approve not only your statement, but your drawings.  With your approval, by following the email link, your project is officially scheduled.  If there are any revisions to be made, contact CPW to discuss the changes.  On this site page you will also find links to an Installation Guide; a guide to Finishes; as well as a number of other useful links that may be of interest and help facilitate your project.

Step 8:

  


Upon completion, photos are posted on the same site address as your drawings and the final payment is processed.  CPW will send another email linking you again to the same site address and log-in. Prior to shipping, delivery, or pick-up, CPW will contact you by email or phone.

Step 9:

  


As a simple courtesy, we ask only that you find a little time to take a few photos of your installed gate and send it to us as Hi resolution images attached to an email.  If possible, something of the gate and perhaps a wider frame to include the surrounding aesthetics. If the photo appears on the site, there will be no mention of names or addresses.  If the photo appears in a print magazine, photo credits are captioned.
