This play structure was designed and built in 1989 for the Mt.
Olive Day Care, here in Sebastopol.
With both Sam and Ben attending, concurrently, it was, as I recall,
something of a tuition trade.
Photographed here, 15 years later, it seems to be holding up without
any apparent signs of wear.

Below, in one of the original photos, young Ben and Sam give it
a try. The rubber rings on the bottom level soon gave way
to just a bar w/o rings
|
Below: Inside, two corners have triangular seats that are also
hollow drums boxes.
The flooor has glittered stars beneath a coat of water-based varathane.
The plexiglas slot in the floor is simply for amusement.

Below: An abacas along one side. In the corner two shelves. Interesting
items are set on the lower shelf
and examined through the magnifying glass embedded into the upper
shelf.

Below: Prowell installling one of the four flags on the ends of
the hip rafters.
