Your modifications are welcome. It is always best to fax or email a copy of your proposed drawings or amendments to CPW for structural review prior to your client's exposure. Collaborations are credited and, if preferred, linked to your web-site or email within the caption of any work that appears on this site. Collaborating credits appear within the first two paragraphs of any work that is featured in print (national magazines, dailies, and bound publications)when the text is authored by CPW.

When text is written by a publication's in-house staff, we make every effort to insure the collaborator is contacted by the publication, but we cannot be responsible for the final text.

Because all commissions are made-to-order, your custom designs do not, in themselves, register custom prices. We will price from a design within the standard Gate Costs or Fence Panel Costs which most closely resembles your proposal, calculating the differentiated materials and labor for a final quote.

An accumulation of weather-appropriate locks and latches is available for your review. Alternate hardware proposals are best defered to CPW for review. Hinges are 4" square-cornered bronze ball-bearing barrel style.

GATES:

*  The stiles and rails provide the parameters of the gate's structural integrity. Stiles widths are maintained at 5-1/4".
*  Bottom rail widths are maintained at 8-1/2" minimum and can be expanded to 12" . Top rail widths are maintained at 5-1/4" minimum.
*  Stile & rail thickness is standard at 1-1/2" and 2-1/4"
.
Top rail profile can be amended to any preference providing the rail is 5-1/4" at the stile joint.

*  The upper section of those gates with a middle rail can be amended to any pattern or design (i.e. circles, ovals, squares patterns, arching pickets, receding perspective illusions, etc.)

*  The lower pickets of those gates with middle rails can be equally amended. The lower sections with solid panels   can be modified only in their open mortised patterns. They currently illustrate mortised, open slots 3/4" width x 5-1/4" length. This same principal can be utilized for open squares, circles, and arched slots configured to your preference.

MODULAR FENCE PANELS:

*  Like the gates, there are certain areas not available for amendment.
*  The widths of the stiles, or frame-boards,as well as the rails should not be modified. Top rails can be patterned to a unlimited range of profiles.
*  This upper section often provides you with the best option to introduce a pattern or design more in keeping with your preferences.
*  Panel heights can range from 12" (i.e. mounted atop stone or masonry walls), to 9 feet.
The upper section of those panels with middle rails can be amended to a variety of patterns. Pattern Blocks   (small blocks of wood joined between the pickets) can be placed at your discretion.
