CUSTOM WOOD PORCH SWING #21
Prowell’s swing #21 features an added five degees in the cant of the backrest; an added 7 degrees in the cant of the seat; and one inch less in the seat depth. All toward a more ergonomic, back-friendly experience that may have your tenure on the porch beginning with a book, and ending with a nap.
Below, the original prototype. A speculative build without the warranty of an eventual audience. The vulnerability of the Maker. The physics definition of work itself, measured by the distance an applied force has moved an object. The force being the Maker in the act of designing and building, moving his or her effort toward a completed product that sells.

The rope installations are designed for 4-rope support, with four ceiling mounts. Here we see a single rope mount, due perhaps to the configuration of the overhead beams.
Let’s also not that the swing seat should have a preferred angle of 7º-9º, or whatever is comfortable. With the swing comes four extra carabiners to adjust the seat angle. Simply add them to the I0bolt on the back of each side to increase the angle of the seat.
