Prowell’s Privacy Notice

privacy notice

When our web site was launched in 1996, virtually all payment transactions were conducted by check, money order, even cash. Although we still accept these forms of payment, as the medium has evolved over the years, the convenience of card transactions has become an acceptable standard. We know that you care how your information is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy.

How Secure Is Your Information?

  • We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Starfield (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
  • After years of accepting your billing information via a link online, we have since 2007 returned to having you call us directly. Your information is written down and subsequently entered into the secured storage within the Authorize gateway, where only the last four digits of the card are visible. Our written notes of your information are shredded.

Does Prowell Woodworks Share the Information It Receives?

We are not in the business of selling or sharing personal information of any sort to anyone. If we include photos of your completed project within our galleries, it is listed without names and addresses, although we often mention the city or state. We do not provide your address to our potential patrons asking for sites where they might see our product in place.

Financial Transactions:

For those paying with credit cards, your advance and final payments are secured and encrypted with SSL Starfield and Authorize.net gateways.
